Annex 1 – The vocabulary of the EASTIN taxonomy

The Vocabulary of the EASTIN taxonomy is based on a two level hierarchy made up of Clusters and Features. Homogeneous Features are grouped together in the same Cluster. For example the Features “Windows”, “Mac OS”, “Linux”, “Chrome OS” , etc., are all grouped  in the Cluster “Operating System”, while “Printer”, “Visual display”, “Tactile display”, etc., are grouped in the Cluster “Output devices”. Features can be of two types: Measures, that can have a numeric value or an interval specified (e.g. weight, length), and Attributes, that do not have a specified value (i.e. are Boolean features). The following table reports the current version of the vocabulary
