SERVICE INFRASTRUCTURES

These are 3 user service infrastructures - plus 3 supporting service infrastructures in GPII. All are being developed by the Prosperity4All project.

.

3 User Service Infrastructures

These infrastructures are designed to allow individuals, organizations, or companies to be able to more easily provide services to end users.

  1. AOD - Assistance on Demand Infrastructure
    • Will allow people or organizations to set up ad hoc or commercial AOD networks of people and services
  2. Media Augmentation Infrastructure
    • Will allow people or organizations to set up ad hoc or commercial service to augment media with captions/subtitles. Later it will include audio description.
  3. Document Transformation Infrastructure
    • Will allow people or organizations to set up ad hoc or commercial service to transform documents into accessible form
    • This will eventually include documents with embedded media.

.

3 Support Service Infrastructures

These infrastructures are designed to allow individuals, organizations, or companies to be able to more easily provide services to end users.

  1. Unified Listing (Federated)
    • Will allow companies or individuals to easily list their products or services in this international database - which is federated with other product databases in Europe and the US (and in the future - elsewhere)
  2. GPII Marketplace
    • Will allow companies or individuals who do not have another easy way to sell their products, to sell them through this international market.
  3. GPII Fiscal Infrastructure
    • This infrastructure can be used in conjunction with any of the other service infrastructures to allow providers to easily sell their products or services internationally without having to set up their own international fiscal system.   It will support purchase, lease (pay-as-you-go) and micro-payment transactions.
    • This infrastructure will also support user pledging to provide users with ability to encourage development of specific types of solutions by vendors.
