GPII on Debian 9?
Background: see this message to the GPII architecture list (14 July 2015).
Many GPII dependencies are already available as Debian packages:
- Other dependencies:
- kernel-devel (?), kernel-headers (?), dkms， gcc， gcc-c++ (g++), git, openssl-devel (openssl), glib-devel (glibc-source?), glib2-devel (?), gtk3-devel (libgtk-3-0), pcsc-lite-devel, pcsc-lite, pcsc-perl, alsa-lib-devel (?), libXrender-devel (?), libXrandr-devel, libX11-devel (?), xorg-x11-proto-devel (?).
About Debian packaging:
This would be the simplest version of the GPII, this is the GPII with everything running in local, as in development mode.
The work shouldn't be too difficult, and it would "probably" consist of:
- Writing a few generic platform-specific NP sets (screenReader, magnifier, magnifierAndColorInversion, etc.).
- Making debian packages for our source code (universal, linux and linux-rfid-listener) and make some system-specific adjustments, such as adding service/config/desktop files, downstream patches, etc. (I made some for Fedora, so I can do the same for Debian).
