Important Information for the Meeting

This is a meeting of WP204 and WP205 (Matchmaker) within the European Project Cloud4All. However, the minutes of the meeting will be made available to the public to allow people outside Cloud4All to follow the development of the matchmaker. If, in the meeting, you want to share confidential information that should not appear in the public minutes, you need to state so in the meeting. This is in line with the Cloud4All Consortium Agreement, section 10.

Progress on JIRAs

  • GPII-288: logging of current settings:
    • The URL to get the current logged in token works in the browser but gets an error messages when used in the JavaScript code ("{ "isError": true, message: "No user currently logged into the system" }", as defined in GPII-290).
    • URL to get the current settings not available yet (dependency; see GPII-228).
    • In the mean time, work on processing the kind of code described in the minutes of the previous meeting.
  • GPII-234: selecting the matchmaker strategy
    • Instead of having many desktop shortcuts, it may be better to write a script that provides an HTML page where the facilitator can
      • check the current token, or - if that functionality does not work - enter it into a text field,
      • select the matchmaker strategy,
      • select the device reporter file/payload,
      • possibly also snapshot the current settings to the Preferences Server and write the current settings to a log file.
    • Code for this script will be made available on GitHub after the weekend. Code to trigger snapshotting and logging can then be hooked into it.
  • The above web page would fulfil the requirements behind the two JIRAs about desktop shortcuts (GPII-558 and GPII-583) in a different and more convenient way.

Technical Validation

Since the two matchmakers are developed separately, it makes sense to have separate validations and validation reports. How to approach this will be discussed in another meeting early next week.
