  • Hand # 2 - Timothy - Low Vision [Enlarged Text] - Timothy/ 55-years old / businessman / has low vision
  • Hand # 3 - Nisha - Physical Disability - Nisha / 18-years old / student / has quadriplegia / uses headpointing and on screen keyboard
  • Hand # 4 - Elaine - Elderly person US - Elaine/ 85-years old / grandmother / does not use computers
  • Hand # 5 - Carla - Very Low Vision [Magnifier] - Carla/ 30-years old / software developer/ has very low vision

Features for the Demo

End-to-end personalization on a Linux workstation

  • Optionally, based on development timelines, we may be able to demonstrate Windows or Mac equivalents
  • Four ways for a user to identify themselves:
    1. Login screen
    2. USB stick
    3. NFC Ring
    4. NFC Card or Sticker
  • Three different types of profiles, showing how we can configure both the operating system itself and third-party assistive technologies:
    1. Display settings: high contrast, font size   {SYSTEM FEATURES}
    2. Screen magnifier (GNOME Shell Mag)    {BUILT-IN AT}
    3. Read Write Gold                                        {INSTALLED AT}
    4. WebAnywhere                                          {Web based AT}



NOT ready yet  - Lets aim for 1 year review for these

  • Illustrate (through a demo) the ability to store preference profiles locally on the USB stick without requiring a network connection.
  • Elaine on Smartphone -- yields a special MOBILE version of EasyONe  Shows adaptation to device    {{ should we make the phone or matchmaker to this?  or does EasyOne do it}} 
  • UI Options  - WebApp adapting based on profiles
