The PROFILES working groups are focused on
- developing the standards for storing user needs & preferences
- Contributing to the ISO/IEC 24751 and AccessForAll standards
- Defining the standard format for the GPII REGISTRY of User Needs and Preferences
- (the architecture working group is responsible for setting up that actual REGISTRY)
- developing standard descriptors / items for the User Needs and Preferences REGISTRY
- for both interfaces and for materials/resources
The work in this group is currently broken up into three sub groups
- User preferences
- Ontologies
- Matchmaking
The architecture group works closely with this group and is focused on
- developing Registry Tools
- defining the formats for communication of needs and preferences (and settings) between the various process in the GPII
